February Focus: Hip Mobility
Hip mobility is a game-changer for anyone looking to improve their squats and deadlifts. Limited mobility in the hips can lead to poor movement mechanics, increased injury risk, and compromised strength potential. By enhancing hip flexibility, stability, and range of motion, you can achieve deeper squats, more powerful deadlifts, and better overall lifting efficiency. This month we continually will break down why hip mobility matters, common restrictions lifters face, and effective exercises to unlock your full potential. Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or just starting, improving hip mobility will help you lift heavier, move better, and stay injury-free.
Events
February 1st we held our Open House to allow for folks to come by and see our new Jiu Jitsu area and ask questions to our new BJJ staff. We had 30+ kiddos and adults come through and we are excited to kick off our BJJ classes on February 11th at 4:30p for kids and 5:30p for adults. Our classes will be on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays/
Gratitude & Goals
I want to take a moment to express gratitude—for the krew that shows up, puts in the work, and supports each other every step of the way. Progress isn’t just about lifting heavier or moving faster; it’s about the discipline, resilience, and mindset we build along the journey. This year, let’s set goals that challenge us, push limits, and make us better—not just in the gym, but in life. Stay consistent, stay accountable, and remember: small wins add up. Let’s make 2025 a year of strength, growth, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Stay strong,
Shane Rider
